IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Friends:

I have been in touch with Bishop Stokes Office and the Church of the Advent regarding this year's Diocesan Choir Camp.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, we all agree that we must postpone this year's camp until the summer of 2021. As the Coronovirus outbreak continues to be a growing concern, and as local and state authorities continue to advise against travel and strongly recommend sheltering in place, it would be unsafe to hold the camp.

Please do stay, healthy, and well! We look forward to welcoming you in 2021.

Come and sing with us!

When: Sunday evening July 19, through Thursday afternoon, July 23 at 4 p.m. Our closing Evensong will be at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Church of the Advent on Thursday. Everyone is welcome!

Why Choir Camp?
The choir camp experience gives young choristers the opportunity to join with peers from communities throughout the Diocese and the region. This intense period of growth—socially, musically, and spiritually—provides experiences that last a lifetime. Choristers leave choir camp with a sense of enthusiasm that they bring back to their respective parishes and communities that help spread the Gospel and grow the church!

Who may come? Girls and boys who are ages 10-18 are welcome to register. You do not have to be from the Diocese of New Jersey to register. Due to space limitations, we can only accept 25 campers, so register early!

Where: We stay at beautiful Holiday House, just around the corner from the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Cape May, New Jersey. Rehearsals are held at the Church of the Advent, who generously hosts us for the week.

How Much: The cost of the camp is $475 per camper. Some scholarship funds are available from the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey. Contact
adventsecretary@comcast.net for details.

Who: Our 2020 Music Director is Mark Trautman, Director of Music at St Paul's, Englewood and Missioner for Music and the Arts, Episcopal Diocese of Newark
. Our chaplain is the Reverend Lisa A. Hoffman, Vicar of St Barnabas-by-the-Sea, Villast.
